Wrestling Coaches

The Charlotte School of Wrestling takes pride in the varied background of our highly skilled and experienced regular wrestling coaches.  From time to time we will bring in high level NCAA and international wrestlers to hold clinics and camps.

Coach Terry Tadeo
• Providence Day School, Charlotte, NC - For the last 20 years Coach Tadeo has been the Head Coach at PDS, coaching wrestlers to a total of over 25 individual state championships. PDS wrestlers have gone on to wrestle at Duke, Davidson, Johns Hopkins, UNC Chapel Hill, NYU, Virginia Tech, Williams and JMU. Several of Coach Tadeo's wrestlers have gone on to become high school coaches.
• Coach Tadeo has twice been named Coach of the Year during his time coaching at Providence Day.
• In October 2014, funded largely by wrestling alumni parents and alumni wrestlers, Providence Day School built a new Wrestling Center and named it after Coach Tadeo and his fellow coaches- Tommy Racano and Paul Burnam in appreciation for their time and dedication to the Providence Day School Wrestling Program.
• USMC, Quantico, VA - Officer in Charge/Team member of the Marine Corps Wrestling Team, which featured multiple USA World Team members.
• Granby School of Wrestling instructor/demonstrator
• Assistant Coach Kempsville High School, Virginia Beach, VA - While Assistant Coach at KHS Coach Tadeo conducted one on one instruction with numerous 4A State Champions, 2 Prep National All-Americans, a Prep National Champion and 2 D1-NCAA All-Americans.

• Charlotte School of Wrestling from 2014 to present

• Providence Day High School 2002 to Present

• 2x Assistant Coach of the Year

• Coached Povidence Day Wrestling Team was state runner ups 4 times under his coaching

• Coached dozens of NC State Champs and a Prep School All-American

• Member UNC Greensboro Wrestling Team

• 2x CT State Runner Up 1992 and 1993

• 3x Cadet Junior National Team Member

• Represented Connecticut in Havana against the Cuban National Team in 1992
